Wanda Faye ("Mema") Tinsley

Wanda Faye ("MEMA") (Boston) Tinsley,74, passed away October 29, 2023 at her home in Stigler. Oklahoma. She was born November 11, 1948 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, to James Robert and Sylvia Elizabeth Boston (Teague). She spent her childhood in Ft . Smith where she attended Northside High School. Later moving to California where she met and married her husband Charles Tinsley in 1968 and eventually making their home in Stigler. Wanda dedicated her life to raising her family and valued the time she got to spend with them making memories. She loved getting together for the holidays and birthdays making it special. She loved God and attending church when she was able. She spent many days listening to sermons on TV and to Gospel music. She had a love for writing poetry and had several hobbies that included doing arts and crafts.' Wanda is survived by 2 daughters, Teresa Brown and Jimmy of Stigler and Shawna Tinsely and companion, Eddie Hutchinson of Stigler; 1 stepdaughter, Teresa Anne Tinsley; a special great granddaughter, Hennessey Bigger; 7 grandchildren, Steven Rippy, Stephanie Booth, Kristian Frost, Kyle Brown, Kayla Tinsley, Kristen Torix, Kelsea Tinsley; 15 great grandchildren, Hennessey, Louella, James Bryson, Easton, Holden, Axel, C.J., Saige, Lennox, Grayson, Kylie, Kambri, Hagen, and Colt; 3 stepchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 step-great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill Boston Sr and Robert William Boston; 3 sisters, Georgia Schalski, Joyce Lindsey and Carolyn Bamburg;. Wanda is proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Tinsley; step-son, Curt Tinsley; a grandson Henry Fox; a great granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Robertson; her parents,James Robert & Sylvia Boston and Opal Boston; 2 brothers, James Robert :Bobby" Boston Jr. and Jimmy Hugh Boston Sr.; 1 sister, Grace Zink Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 3, 2023 at Harvest Church with Reverend Howard Orr officiating. The Eulogist will be Chaplain Vernon Stone. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Brown, Eddie Hucthinson, Nathan Brake, Justin Torix, Kyle Brown, Brayson Cole. Burial will follow at Garland Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
