Sharon Kaye Peevyhouse

Sharon Kaye Peevyhouse, 67, of Kinta passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Mercy Hospital in Ft. Smith. She was born August 15, 1953 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Clarence William Jr.& Ethel Mae (Cole) Stoneburner. Sharon grew up in Wilburton and Quinton. She graduated Quinton High school when she was only 16 years old because she was such a quick learner that she skipped 2 grades of school. She married Lonnie Peevyhouse in 1971 and after having a few children, she returned to her education and earned her Associates degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College. Followed by her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University. She earned her Masters Degree in Education in Northeastern and East Central Universities. She was a lifelong learner and was certified for elementary education, library media specialist, principal and many more. Over the last 30 years she taught at several area schools throughout her teaching career. She retired last year in May 2019. Sharon loved fishing and adored her grandchildren, loved singing in church and was very patriotic; an avid Trump supporter. She was very proud of her Avalanche Truck (almost 500,000 miles on it.) She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a member of The Church of God of Prophecy. Sharon is survived by her three daughters & 2 sons-in-law, Sherrie & Warren Hamilton of McCurtain, Kimberly Peevyhouse of Stigler, Loretta & Kyle Childers of Bethel Acres; her son & daughter-in-law, Travis & Danielle Peevyhouse of Stigler; eleven grandchildren & spouses, Jerrod & Rainy, Callie, Wyatt, Valynn, Dylan & Hallie, Mikayla & Collyn, Faith, Blair, Kole, Kaydence, Maverick; four great grandchildren, Madilyn, Clay, Macey, Kylie; her father, C.W. Stoneburner of Kinta; two brothers & a sister-in-law, Gary & DeeDee Stoneburner of Tulsa & Randy Stoneburner of Lona Valley; a sister & brother-in-law, Naomi & Mark Valiollahi of Baton Rouge; special sister-in-law, Thomacina Stoneburner of Lona Valley. Sharon is preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Stoneburner. Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Victory Christian Center COGOP in Quinton with Reverend Bob Ikenberry officiating. Eulogist: Reverend Rick Kerly. Pallbearers include Warren Hamilton, Kyle Childers, Jerrod Long, Dylan Clayton, Gary Stoneburner, & Randy Stoneburner. Burial will follow in Enterprise Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
