Robert Jackson “Jackie” Risenhoover, 72, of Quinton went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 18, 2021 in McAlester Regional Heath Center. He was born April 18, 1948 in Quinton, Oklahoma to Robert Andrew & Pauline (Self) Risenhoover. Jackie grew up at Quinton where he attended Quinton Public Schools.. He married Mavis Peevy shortly before he went into the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. When he finished his service he worked in construction for several years, worked for the City of Quinton and operated his Mechanic & Small Engine Shop for many years. He graduated from Eastern State College with Small Engine repair certificate. He loved hunting, fishing, raising cattle. He adored his family and enjoyed his coffee shop buddies. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophesy. Jackie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mavis (Peevy) Risenhoover of the home; his 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Margo & Bryan Carpenter of Edmond, OK., Kim & Ray Dorrough of Quinton, OK.; mother-in-law, Trixie Peevy of Quinton; grandchildren & their spouses, Mallory & Jason Koenig of Thornton, CO., Bryleigh & Tyler Kippenberger of Yukon, OK., Brynn Carpenter of Edmond, Ok., Tori Landers of Longtown, OK. & Mariah Dorrough of Russellville, AR.; great grandchildren, Jazlynn Long, Jagger Long, Jordy Koenig, Jayda Koenig of Thornton, CO., Graylon Kippenburger of Yukon, OK., Rory, Riley & Macey Landers of Longtown, OK.; his siblings & their spouses, a brother, Johnny & Pam Risenhoover, Roberta Bray, MaryBelle Ward all of Quinton, PaulAnn & John Denny of Enterprise, OK. Linda & Doyle Needham of Perry , OK., Jeanie & Terry Dillon of Weleetka, OK.; numerous nieces & nephews; brothers-in-laws & sisters-in-law. Jackie is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Pauline Risenhoover; 2 brothers-in-laws, Calvin Ward, & Russell Bray; a nephew, Bobby Bray; 2 great nephews, Brian Needham & Dustin Floyd Bray Jr.; father-in-law, Bennie Peevy; Graveside Service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Lona Valley Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Taylor officiating. Pallbearers include Yancey Peevy, Billy Peevy, Gene Peevy, Jimmy Pryor, Darrell Jones, Dustin Bray. Honorary Pallbearers include Kenneth Dunlap, Bill McKee, Kenny McMennamy, Clark Powell, Kenneth Brunson, Wayne Odgen, Freddy Adcock, Fred Russell & Yancey Etchison.
