Michelle Jeanette Eaton

Michelle Jeanette Eaton 62, of Stigler was called away on January 30, 2026. She was born in Concord, California on June 6, 1963 to James Wayne and Sandra Kathleen (Spessard) King. She lived in California until age 9 when she moved with her family to Rose Hill. She attended Kinta Public Schools and was a graduate with the class of 1981. She continued her education at Carl Albert College and earned her LPN certificate. She became a mother in 1987 and dedicated her life to raising her son. She worked for many years in the nursing field. She was married to Howard Eaton on August 18, 2001 in Lequire and made their home together in Stigler. In 2004 they opened and operated The Eaton Hole restaurant in Lequire for several years before moving the business to Stigler in 2007 through 2016. She continued nursing until a few weeks before her death. Michelle loved traveling, cooking, deer hunting, Thunder basketball, and riding side by sides in Colorado. Her greatest joy was her grandsons. She was a Charter member of Faith Baptist Church in Lequire. She is survived by her husband, Howard Eaton of the home; one son, Roger Thompson and companion Jessica of Stigler; her bonus daughter, Amber Wallis and husband Merv of Brooken; her grandsons, Lariat, Riggin and Lane of Brooken; one brother, Jeff King and wife Teresa of Stigler; one nephew, Brooks King and Caitlin of Stigler; one uncle, Ron Spessard and companion Kimberly of Pittsburg, California; two aunts, Pat Percifield of Rose Hill, Sandy Poteet of Kinta; her sisters in law, Maxine Risch of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and Jo Lankford of Choctaw; as well as numerous cousins and other relatives. She's preceded in death by her parents, James Wayne and Sandra Kathleen "Spessard" King; Her maternal Grandparents, Morris and Geneva Spessard; Her Paternal Grandparents, Vanis James and Mercedes Mae (Amos) King. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Mr. Denver Bowen officiating. Pastor Jack Sloan will be the Eulogist. Pallbearers will be Lariat Thompson, Riggin Thompson, Lane Wallis, Merv Wallis, Lucky Gabbard, Jeff King, Brooks King. Burial will follow at Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
