Lois Marie Green

Lois Marie (Mizell) Green, 82, passed away to her Heavenly Home 03/07/2026 at Stigler, Ok. She was born on March 15, 1943 to James (Monk) Mizell and Lillie Ainsworth Mizell. On July 16th, 1961 she married her best friend and love of her life Doy Green. They had 2 daughters Dana Bailes and Donna Carpenter, and made their home in Kinta, Ok. She graduated from Kinta High School. She worked at her parents Cafe in Kinta and worked for 30+ years at Charles Komar & Sons in McAlester until she retired. She was always involved in most every project going on from starting the Kinta's 4th of July Celebration, Kinta Alumni Banquet, Church Christmas Programs (making costumes), Fall Festival, Christmas parade and all Kinta First Baptist Church events. She loved to cook and was an amazing cook. She always cooked enough food at Holiday's to feed the whole town, she was also willing to sew up anything for anyone She would welcome anyone in, which is a trait she got from her mom. Her and Doy took over her parents cafe after their passing and operated it with their daughter for many years. She made burgers just as good as her mom and served lots of food out of Doy's gardens. Along side her daughter Donna she ran a daycare in Quinton for several years and it was a highlight of her life. She was a very loving wife, mama, nannie, aunt, and friend. She was a lifelong member of Kinta First Baptist Church and loved her church family. She loved all music, but Elvis was her favorite! She loved working in her beautiful flower gardens and painting rocks She loved sitting on the porch with her friends and neighbors visiting. She had several special friends; Jimmie Markham, Kay Farriell, Charolette Smith, and Barbara Surber. She loved her daughters and her grandchildren were the high light of her life. She loved Kinta Eagles Basketball games and watching the grands play. She had a great love for her OKC Thunder Team, you would have thought she was their coach. She was always proud to say she lived in Kinta! She is going to be missed by all that knew her. She's survived by her husband Doy Green of the home. One daughter; Dana Bailes and husband Jonathan of Stigler. 1 Son in Law; Bentley Carpenter. Grandchildren: Josh Lowe of Tulsa, Rachael Fisk and husband Kevin of McAlester, Lensey Holden and husband Rodney of Kinta, Hailey Murray and husband Josh of Kinta, Jalen Carpenter and wife Ashley of Krebs, Westen Carpenter. Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Jace, Kameron, Kylie, Adrianne, Matthew, Adam, Andrew, Ariah, Kyler, Bennett. 1 Sister: Vivian Mitchell and friend Rick of Midwest City. Sister-in-Law Eunice Mizell of Skiatook. She's preceded by her parents; "Monk" and Lillie Mizell; 1 daughter; Donna Carpenter; 1 grandaughter; Kensey Lowe; 1 sister, Kathryn Ogle; 2 brothers; George and Jimmie Earl Mizell; Son-in-laws; Rusty Lowe and Steve Coble. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 12th, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Kinta First Baptist church. Officiated by Reverend Mike Mills. Eulogist Reverend Jeff Bengs. Pallbearers; Bentley Carpenter, DeWayne Farriell, Darrick Farriell, John Bertrem, Carl Ford, Mike Eaton.
