Chris Stanfield

Christopher Paul Stanfield, 49, was born January 20, 1970 to Paul and Lena (Cagle) Stanfield in Stigler, OK. He passed away on March 8, 2019, at his home. Chris is survived by his three children, Hailey Gourley and husband Logan of Dallas, Texas, Lane Stanfield and fiance’, Hannah Copelan of Stillwater, OK., and Craig Stanfield of Pauls Valley; his Aunt Lora Jo and Uncle Leo Monks; along with cousins, Scooter, Stephanie, Ty, and Colt Potts, who were dear to Chris; his sister, Beth Stanfield, and nieces, Becka and Hannah Johnson of Ft. Gibson and Eufaula; aunts and uncles, Sue Stanfield of Quinton, Caroline Stanfield of McAlester, and Ronnie Lewis of Greenwood, Arkansas; numerous cousins and friends. Chris was preceded from this life by his parents, Paul and Lena Stanfield; aunts & uncles including, Roy and Mary Ellen Reynolds, Joe and Georgia Stanfield, Silas Stanfield, David Stanfield, Becky Lewis, and Milo Cagle. Chris will be remembered for his many talents, creativity, and humor. He was an incredible artist, and with his tools and welder, there was nothing he couldn’t build. His handiwork can be seen throughout the Russellville community. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling jokes. He graduated from Quinton High School in 1988. Chris grew up in the Russellville community attending Palestine Church. Psalm 103:13-17 “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him; For He knows how we are formed, He remembers that we are dust. The life of mortals is like grass, They flourish like a flower in the field; The wind blows over it and it is gone, And its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting. The Lord’s love is with those who fear Him, and His righteousness with their children’s children.” Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Palestine Church in Quinton with Pastor John Callaway officiating. Eulogist: Mr. Sean Callaway. Pallbearers include Sean Callaway, Scooter Potts, Colt Potts, Ty Potts, Patrick Stanfield,Joe Daniels, Tracy Shelton, Chris Oxford. Honorary Pallbearers include Leo Monks, Ronnie Lewis, Carl Oxford, Darrell Adcock, Charles Russell, Ray Miller, Steve Basden. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
