Brittany Dawn Knott

Brittany Dawn Knott, 29, of Keota, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 in Keota, Oklahoma. She was born September 9, 1994 to Mandy Knott and Payton Ward Brittany graduated from Keota High School in 2013, where she was the Valedictorian of her class. She attended the University of Arts and Science in Chickasaw for two years before she went on to Eastern State College where she completed her schooling to become an LPN. Brittany was loved by everyone who knew her and was always there to lend a hand to those who needed her. Anyone could call Britt and she would show up without question and do anything to help them. She had a big, beautiful smile that you couldn’t help but return when you saw it. Brittany was one of the smartest people you’d meet but she always had you laughing when her common sense didn’t kick in. She was a caring nurse who was devoted to the care of her patients. Brittany was the best big sister, and the biggest fan of her little sisters and brother. She was an amazing aunt who loved to spoil her nephew. Brittany loved spending time with her family and friends, she may not have been on time, but she always showed up. Brittany enjoyed fishing with Brian and spending her free time playing pool and darts. She wasn’t much of an animal lover but she really hated snakes, and Brian loved to tease her by pretending he had caught one which would cause her to take off running and get caught in the mud. Brittany loved to be right and would always find time to argue with you, and would give a good eye roll if you didn’t agree with her. Brittany will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her mother, Mandy Knott and companion Breck Chapman of Keota; her father, Payton Ward of McCurtain; her companion, Brian Nixon of the home; 4 sisters, Samantha Storment and Chance of Stigler, Allie Carry of Keota, Jade Carry of Keota, MaKyla Howard of Poteau; one brother, Brier Ward of Poteau; her bonus parents, Claylon Carry and wife Christina of Keota; maternal grandparents, Woody Knott and wife Alice of Longtown; paternal grandparents, Doris Ward of McCurtain and Lois Carry of Keota; one nephew, Laramie Joe Storment; one niece, Allie Nixon; her aunts and uncles, Sherri and Rick Newby, Jason and Mandy Ward, Jonaile Owen, Lisa Wright, Lynn and Jerry Morgan, Cathy Pearson, Woody Knott, Cheyenne and Gharytt Davis; numerous cousins and other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Tony Ward, Bernice Luna, Albert "Son" Carry; her aunt, Becky Bryant; her uncle, Tony Ward Jr., Jamie Pearson. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 6, 2023 at Victory Worship Center in Keota with Reverend Brandon Mooneyham officiating. The Eulogist will be Reverend Jack Sloan. Pallbearers will be Jordan Ward, James Hunter, Justin Hunter, Chance Storment, Steven Pearson and Drake Chapman. Burial will follow at Old Panther Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
