Billy Mark McCoy

Mark McCoy of Stigler passed into eternity on August 9, 2024 at the age of 66. Mark was born in Muskogee, Ok. on December 25, 1957 to Bill Mccoy and Erniece Spears McCoy Maxwell. Mark grew up in Enterprise and attended Enterprise school, and Quinton School where he graduated with the class of 1975. Mark worked for Nowsco Drilling as a pump operator after high school. He married Debby Harmon McCoy on August 20, 1982 and they welcomed their daughters, Ashley in September 1983 and Amanda in June 1985. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandson Kacen. Mark worked for the city of Stigler until transitioned to the Haskell County Water Department where he retired in early 2021 due to health complications. Mark was a most devoted family man who loved with his whole heart. He and Debby were happy together through all of the good and the bad of life. They were truly steadfast in their love and devotion to each other. He was such a proud father, poppa and uncle. He loved watching OU sports and Panther sports, especially when his boys Kacen and Garon were playing. Wherever they traveled, he traveled. Mark was a member of Stigler First Baptist Church where he lovingly, genuinely, and happily served as a deacon. Jesus was Mark's strength and his peace and he didn't hesitate to tell you about it. Mark also served as Sunday School Director for many years and loved knowing he was part of helping others learn more about Jesus. Mark McCoy was a true gentleman and left an impact on everyone he knew. He was real. To know him was to love him. He is walking the streets of glory with the love of his life and those that have gone before him. He anticipated his homegoing with great hope and peace. Mark is survived by his loving daughters Ashley McCoy and Amanda McCoy, both of Stigler and his pride and joy grandson Kacen McCoy. He also leaves behind his father in law, Joe Harmon along with his sister in law and brother in law, Lana and Randy Mayhall and one nephew, Garon Mayhall. Also one very special uncle,Ted Spears one aunt, Virginia Browning and cousins Aaron, Lucas, Brian, Shellie and Clint along with a host of friends!!!! Mark is preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, Debby McCoy. His mother, Erniece Maxwell and step dad Gordon Maxwell and his father Bill McCoy. His sister Gina McCoy and grandparents Virgil and Rae Spears, and Ernest and Lila McCoy.
