Sue Rodgers, 68, of Keota, passed away at her home Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born April 24, 1954 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Jimmy & Leora (Reynolds) Meek. Sue grew up in the Ft. Smith area. She married Chuck Rodgers in 1990. She worked for Rheem Industries in Ft. Smith for 20 years. She began a pork operation with Chuck in 1994 until 2003 and later began raising chickens until 2019. She loved to go hunting & fishing, loved traveling, loved spending time at their cabin in Colorado and adored her grandchildren. Sue is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Angie & Kelly Carter of Keota; 3 grandchildren & their spouses, Jessica & Tim Rust of Spiro, Koby & Taryn Carter of Spiro, Maggie Carter of Keota; 5 great grandchildren, Karson, Tristan, Aniston, Ryker, Oakley; a sister & a brother-in-law, Lena & Kenny Crawford; 3 brothers & a sister-in-law, Dany & Zona Meek , James Harmon, Gary Harmon; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & in-laws. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy & Leora Meek; her husband Chuck Rodgers; a brother, Johnny Harmon; a sister, Annette Harmon. Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. A memorial hasn’t been scheduled as of yet.
