Ruth Jean Dickey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Ruth Jean Dickey, 78, of Stigler, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Haskell County Hospital in Stigler. She was born February 18, 1939 at Kinta, Oklahoma to James Kelly and Martha Smith. Ruth grew up at Pocassett where she graduated high school. She married John Dickey October 24, 1964 and they made their home in Chickasha, Pearland, Texas and then moved to Stigler in 1980. Ruth loved gardening, making flower beds look pretty, loved cooking Sunday Dinner’s for her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her husband John Dickey of the home; her son, Timmy Dickey and wife Judy of Hope, Arkansas; her two daughters, Kim Baker and husband Ronnie, of Stigler, Amanda Reece and husband Chuck of Quinton; her six grandchildren, B.J. Honeycutt and wife Tara, Caden Suttles, Maranda Tucker and husband Brad, Matt Bollinger and wife Brittnee, Mason Bollinger and wife Chelsea, Cole Reece; ten great grandchildren, Clayne, Brylar, Bryggs, Hailee, Jade, Jacklyn, Colton, Remington, Emmerson, Acelyn; six sisters, Barbara Shepherd, Lucille Smith, Wanda Shepherd, Nicola Holly, Carolyn Frye, Linda Suttles; a brother, Tommy Frye; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, James Kelly and Martha Smith; a sister, Brenda Frye. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church with Reverend Tommie Parker officiating. Eulogist; Reverend Willard Frances. Pallbearers include Tim Phillips, Brad Phillips, Bobby Martin, Jeff Bean, Gary Suttles, Michael Welch. Honorary Pallbearers include Chad Martin, Willard Frances, Charles Don Robertson, Willard Frances Jr. Burial will follow immediately to Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home in Stigler.
