Russell James Ginn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Russell James Ginn, 23, of Stigler died Friday, July 12, 2013 at his home. Russell was born in Amarillo, Texas on April 12, 1990 to Jim Ginn and Staci (McLean) Seymour. He spent most of his years in Kinta being raised by his mother and stepfather Jimmy and his Uncle Glen. During High School he showed steers, hogs, while also playing football, basketball, and baseball for the Kinta Eagles. Russell was an outstanding student and excelled in athletics. He graduated from Kinta High School in 2008. That same year he received the greatest joy of his life by becoming a father to Addie Rose. He joined the Army in 2008, and during his service he was deployed to Iraq to serve a fifteen month tour. In 2012, Russell became a father for the second time to his son, Dawson Lee. After serving in the military, Russell made his home in Stigler where he spent most of his time with family and friends. Russell was full of life and always up to any challenge. He had a great love for sports, with his favorite teams including the Oklahoma State Cowboys, and The Oklahoma City Thunder. He also enjoyed playing the guitar with friends. He will always be remembered for his goofy laugh, his crazy personality, and his uncanny ability to light up a room. He is survived by his mother, Staci Seymour and stepfather Jimmy Seymour; his father, Jim Ginn; one daughter, Addie Rose; one son, Dawson Lee; three brothers, Casey Smith, Jimmy Seymour III, Steven Ginn; four sisters, Sheila Ginn, Holly Ojeda, Jami Ginn, Mystic Seymour; his maternal grandparents Glen and Alene Monday, James McLean, Geraldine Gibson; his paternal grandparents, James Ginn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal great grandmother, Flora Ginn; maternal great grandparents, Clyde and Virgina McLean; great grandmother, Billie Reed; great grandfather, Alvin Duck. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Elbert Owens officiating. Pallbearers include Zack Benavidez, Jeremy Hayden, Jake Tucker, Kolin Vance, Cody King, Brian Suniga. Burial will immediately follow under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
