Mr. Ronald Lynn Coble, 51, longtime Keota resident died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in a Fort Smith Hospital after a sudden illness. A native of Stigler he was born October 16, 1960 to Burl and Fern (Campbell) Coble. He grew up southeast of Stigler and graduated with the Keota High School class of 1978. He was married to Thelma Winklepleck and made their home together at Keota. He began a career at the Keota Mill and Elevator as a teenager and worked for many years until his health forced his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Keota Volunteer Fire Department. He also served as the Mayor of Keota for several years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing. He is survived by two daughters, Tasha Wallen and husband Chris of McCurtain, Tiffany Terrell and husband Jesse of Stigler; his parents, Burl and Fern Coble of Stigler; three sisters, Brenda Gaylor of Stigler, Lisa Tucker and husband Jim of Quinton, Cindy Coble of Tulsa; one grandson, Jordan Terrell of Stigler; his best friend, Thelma Palmer. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; one sister, Kim Linker; one nephew, Justin Coble. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 1, 2012 at the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Reverend Tommie Parker officiating. The Eulogist will be Reverend Elbert Owens. Pallbearers will be Ray Haskins, Mike Akins, Dennis Winklepleck, Tim McGuire, Jim Tucker and Blaine Sappington. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Coble, Tony Coble, Doug Brand, Jesse Terrell, Jim Terrell, Chris Wallen and Jerry Terrell. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
