Ralph Gene Hendrix Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ralph Gene Hendrix, 63, a lifelong Stigler resident passed away Monday, February 20, in Tulsa. He was born February 17, 1949 in Stigler to Roy H. and Virginia (Lefler) Hendrix. Ralph grew up in Stigler and graduated from Stigler High School with the Class of ’67. He began a career as a truck driver, mostly for Cross Trucking Company. Ralph loved horses and buggies. He adored his grandchildren. He was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Latonya Hendrix of Stigler; a son, Justin Hendrix and wife Kortni of Stigler; step-children, Shannon Anderson of Muskogee, Allen Anderson of Tulsa, Waynie Bidwell of Keota and Terry Holt of Stigler; three grandchildren, Nikkie Cole, Chance Hendrix and Chevy Hendrix; one brother, Troy Hendrix and wife Donna of Stigler; two sisters, Mary Fouts of Copan; Carol Davis of Dewey and special friend, Dean Brittain of Enterprise. He was preceded by his parents, Roy and Virginia Hendrix and one sister, Donna Whitekiller. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommie Parker officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie McKee, Sam Stubblefield, Billy Reavis, Gary Stubblefield, Nathan Davis and Monty Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers will include Tim Oldham, Norman Burge, Larry Steele, Ray Stubblefield, Bobby Martin, Jim Watson and Alton Allred. Burial will follow at the Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
