Patricia Mae Stephens

May 2, 1943 - February 18, 2020

Patricia Mae Stephens, 76, of Whitefield, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at her home. She was born May 2, 1943 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Henry & Irea (Lovell) Sweeten. She grew up in McCurtain where she was educated. She met a young man that stole her heart, Jess Stephens. She married the love of her life, on January 7, 1967 in Quinton where they made their home and raised their family. Patricia enjoyed cooking, loved going to garage sales & flea markets. She adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the center of her heart. Patricia was a devout Christians for 54 years. She loved reading the Bible and going to church. She was a member of the Books of Acts Church in Muskogee. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her. Patricia is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Joan Sweeten of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; her two daughters & a son-in-law, Angela & Leonard Cowett of Porum, Oklahoma, and Anna Parker of Whitefield; 10 grandchildren, Jacob Seyler, Hayden Seyler, Madison Seyler, Cortney Crisler, Aron Crisler, Dixie Cowett, Tyler Stephens, & Jenna Stephens Toby Sweeten & Joey Sweeten;4 great grandchildren, Aron Crisler Jr., Lillian Crisler, Jesse Crisler & Larra Stephens; her 3 sisters, Linda Keith of Enterprise, Irene Robinson of Porum, & Ann Lindsey of Porum; a brother & sister-in-law Mack & Jeannie Sweeten of Keota. Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Irea Sweeten; her beloved husband, Jess Stephens; a great granddaughter, Cara Jean Stephens;3 sisters, Wanda Stout, Connie Seyler & infant, Eulene Sweeten; 3 brothers, Albert Sweeten, David Sweeten & infant, Kenny Sweeten. Graveside Service will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 21, 2020 in Quinton Cemetery with Pastor David Taylor officiating. Pallbeares include Jacob Seyler, Hayden Seyler, Jimmy Seyler, Brian Keith, Dakota Davis, & James Morris. Honorary Pallbearers include Tyler Stephens & Tom Broyles. Burial will follow immediately under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
