Linda East, 60 of Midwest City passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at her home in Midwest City. She was born on February 9, 1955 in Florence, Arizona to Ollie and Freda (Goodin) Hurlocker. She grew up in Arizona and finished school at Monroe, Oklahoma. She began working as a Nurse’s Aide, which she continued throughout her entire career. She married John East in April 1992 and they made their home together in Oklahoma City. She will always be remembered as loving to garden, quilt, spending her free time fishing, and going to casinos in Mississippi. She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Darcy and husband Riley of Porum; Betty Hutchins and husband Lester of West Fork, Arkansas; her companion, Larry Pullen of Midwest City; former spouse, John East of Oklahoma City; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Freda Hurlocker; four sisters, Mary Aldridge, Sylvia Walkup, Freda Tribe, Paulette Self; three brothers, Ollie Hurlocker Jr., Donnie Hurlocker, Jerry Hurlocker. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Coleman Cemetery with Reverend Wendell Cox officiating. Pallbearers include Lynn Morgan, Clay Holt, Devin O’Brien, Patrick O’Brien, Keith Shrum, and John East. Burial will immediately follow under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
