Kenneth Eric Nunn

August 8, 1972 - July 4, 2014

Mr. Kenneth Eric Nunn, 41, of McCurtain passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born on August 8, 1972 in Muskogee to Ken Nunn and Barbara (Hays) Nunn. He grew up at McCurtain where he received his education. He then began working and operating heavy equipment like track hoes and dozers for Greenstone for several years. He loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and noodling. He will always be remembered as being a great dad, son, brother, and best friend. He also leaves behind many, many great friends. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Nunn II of Stigler, Bobby Nunn of McCurtain; his mother, Barbara Nunn of McCurtain; one sister, Rebecca Nunn and husband Hardy Labor of Kanima; two brothers, Terry Nunn of McCurtain, Frankie Nunn of San Antonio, Texas; his companion, Darlene Bloxham of McCurtain; special cousins, Barry Nunn, Tonya Wilburn of McCurtain; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, Ken Nunn; paternal grandparents, Harvey and Rhoda Nunn, maternal grandparents, Earl & Faye Hays. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 7, 2014 at McCurtain High School Auditorium with Reverend Charles Watkins officiating; Eulogist: Pastor Lillie Harris; Speaker, Jason Green. Pallbearers include Brandon Anderson, Henry Nixon, Jackie Sutton, Harvey Carpitcher, Boe Carpitcher, David Putman. Burial will immediately follow at Old Panther Cemetery under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
