Isaac Pryor

November 6, 1913 - June 1, 2012

Mr. Isaac Pryor, 98, longtime Briartown resident died Friday, June 1, 2012. A native of Valley View, Texas he was born November 6, 1913 to Thomas Harlan Pryor and Lottie (Hott) Pryor. He grew up in the Tulsa area where he received his education. He was married to Aolia Walker in the early 1930’s and made their home together. He began a career in construction that spanned over many years until his retirement in 1966. He made his home in Wagoner for several years before settling at Briartown in the mid 1940’s. He began a career in farming and ranching until his death. Aolia passed away in early 2000. He was later married Billie Jo Daniels and made their home together since. He loved horses and cattle and everything associated with farming and ranching. He is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Pryor of the home; his children, Bill Pryor and wife Elayne of Pomona Park ,FL, Elaine Cox and husband Luke of Briartown, Janet Blan and husband Leroy of Tulsa, Virle Pryor and wife Judy of Briartown, Glen Pryor and wife Billie of Claremore, Lawrence Pryor and wife Julie of Okmulgee; two nieces, Nita Byrum and husband Ken of Waldron, AR, Sharon Pryor and husband Hymie of Bakersfield, CA; special nephew, Mike Pryor and wife Holly of Pismo Beach, CA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as a host of long time friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Lottie Pryor; his first wife and mother of his seven children, Aolia Pryor; five sisters; three brothers; one son, Dale Pryor. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Fields Cemetery with Mr. Glen Patterson speaking. Honorary pallbearers include Don Allen, Leroy Burnett, Bruce Crittenden, Robert Owle, Billy Palmer, James Palmer, Glen Patterson, Jim Pitts, Lonnie Pitts, Alan Quick, Ronnie Quick, and Jerry Webb. The family suggest memorials be made to the Porum Volunteer Fire Department in memory of Isaac Pryor. Burial will follow under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
