Obituary for Haskell D. Smith: Mr. Haskell D. Smith 71, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Mc Alester Regional Medical Center. Haskell was born October 7, 1943 in Commanche, Oklahoma to Marcus Haskell Smith and Edith Lucille (Wallace) Smith. He grew up at Carlsbad, New Mexico where he received his education. He traveled for many years all over the country working as a Sizemograph Operator and he also worked as a Roughneck on Gas & Oil Rigs for many years. He settled in Queen, New Mexico for several years and loved hunting, fishing, camping, music and hunting arrowheads. He raised hunting birds such as quail, pheasants and chukars. He moved to Kinta in 2011. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him. Haskell is survived by his three daughters, Lisia Wilson and husband Robert, Bethany Smith, and Stacy Boren and husband JB; two grandchildren, Anita Paul and husband Shawn and Whitney Smith; four great grandchildren, Nathaniel Wilson , Jeremiah Wilson, Madelyn Paul, and Zachary Paul; a cousin, Marsha Hayes and husband Jack. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Edith Smith; a grandson, Robert Wilson; two great grandsons, Marcus & Steven Paul. Cremation is directed under King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
