Mr. David C. Simmons, 63, of Stigler died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in West Branch, Michigan. He was born on June 2, 1950 in West Branch, Michigan to Roy Simmons and Mollie (Carson) Simmons. He grew up in Michigan where he received his education. After graduation he attended college in Michigan. He married Janette Carry on August 17, 1991. He then began a career with Hardware Companies as a young man and worked as a Market Development Director until his passing. He will always be remembered as loving to golf, riding motorcycles, anything to do with computers, and most of all being a part of family gatherings. He is survived by his wife, Janette Simmons of the home; two sons, Bryan Simmons of Kearney, Nebraska, Jason Carry and wife Brandi of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Sheila Carry of Stigler; six grandchildren, Brandon Morse, Eleasha Morse, Derek Carry, Samuel McCann, Joseph McCann, Waylon Boston; two great grandchildren, Bryce Morse, Joshua Boston; his father, Roy Simmons of West Branch, Michigan; one sister, Brenda Simmons of West Branch, Michigan; one brother, Steve Simmons and wife Denise of West Branch, Michigan; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Molly Simmons; his former wife, Jean Simmons; one son, Joshua Carry. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at First Assembly of God Church in Stigler with Reverends Rick Stout officiating. Eulogist: Reverend Daniel Smith. Pallbearers include Bryan Simmons, Greg Simmons, Scott Simmons, Jason Simmons, Reed Jorgensen, Jason Carry, Bob Eastman, James Collins; Honorary Pallbearers include Sam Stubblefield, Jim Stubblefield, Richard Collins, Larry Collins, Bill Nunn, David Wilson, Waylon Boston, Brandon Morse, Derek Carry. Burial will immediately follow at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
