Charles Douglas Hicks Jr. 31, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Tulsa. He was born July 6, 1990 in Oklahoma City to Charles and Janie (Gosa) Hicks. He grew up in Fort Smith and Van Buren, Arkansas where he was educated. He was married to Felecia Benson and together began raising three children. He was a hard working man who enjoyed playing baseball with his sons and having a tea party with his daughter. He loved music and poetry and was a health nut who became vegan and was obsessed with staying healthy. He was planning on becoming a physical therapist. He was a member of the Life Church of McAlester. He is survived by his wife Felecia Hicks of the home; two sons, Landon and Dawson Hicks; one daughter, Serenity Hicks; one sister, Amanda Espy and husband Rob of Perry, South Dakota; his nephews, Hayden and Pierce Espy. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Janie. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Pastor Terren Anderson officiating. Eulogist: Pastor Keith Standford. Pallbearers include Dwight Catron, David Alverson, Mario Dashawn, Cornelius Hayes, Mason Crenshaw, Landon Hicks and Dawson Hicks. Cremation will follow under the care of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
