Bonnie Sue Pearson

March 24, 1956 - May 7, 2022

Bonnie Sue Pearson, 66, of Hoyt, Oklahoma entered eternal rest on May 7, 2022. Bonnie was born on March 24, 1956 in Seattle, Washington to Lonnie and Gladys Lockwood. The family moved to Hoyt, Oklahoma in 1957 where Bonnie grew up and graduated from Stigler High School. Bonnie completed Nursing School and worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. Bonnie married Don Pearson at her parent’s home on June 15, 1973. Don and Bonnie were blessed with two children, Daniel Pearson and Jacci Zaerr, along with two grandsons Devlin and Cole Pearson. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a talented cook and baker and loved to share her delicious food with others or make special treats for those she loved. Bonnie was an avid gardener and loved to can what she and Don grew in their garden every year. She was creative with all things crafting, sewing, and quilt making. Bonnie also enjoyed fishing, swinging on her porch swing, and taking care of her chickens. Some of the best stories Bonnie told were from her adventures she took with her best friends Donna Bush and Therisa Gist, both of Stigler. She loved traveling and taking road trips to see new places. Bonnie is survived by her husband Don of the home, her daughter Jacci and husband Chad Zaerr, of Centerton, Arkansas, her two grandsons Devlin and Cole of the home, three brothers, Ronnie Lockwood and wife Jean of Stigler, Donnie Lockwood and wife, Vera of Hoyt, Joe Lockwood and wife, Wanda of Hoyt, two sisters, Johnnie Anderson and husband Ron of Eufaula, Vonda Lockwood of Eufaula, numerous nephews and nieces, and her best friends Donna Bush and Therisa Gist. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Gladys Lockwood, her son Daniel Pearson, and great nephew Matthew Perry. Graveside service only at Hoyt Cemetery in Hoyt, Oklahoma on May 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Reverend Bill Fitzer. Pallbearers are Bob Ogg, Mack Oldham, Michael Bush, Ron Anderson, and Jim Pearson Honorary Pallbearers include Cole Pearson, Chad Zaerr, Ronnie Lockwood, Donnie Lockwood, Connie Lockwood, Johnnie Anderson, Vonda Lockwood; along with all her nephews and nieces, and her siblings. Celebration of Life will be at Lil Gladys Farm (10084 N CR 4312, Stigler) Sandridge area, approximately 30-45 minutes after the service. Food and refreshments will be provided, please feel free to bring lawn chairs.
