Betty Jo Tanner Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Jo Tanner, 74, of Stigler, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at her home. She was born May 20, 1945 to Joe & Anna Marie (James) Orman. She grew up at Stigler and went to Stigler public schools. Betty worked for Ki-Bois Headstart for twenty plus years and also a provider for many years. She was active in the VFW Women’s Auxiliary for many years. She loved her children & grandchildren and loved cooking for her family. She was loved by all. Betty is survived by her 2 sons & daughter-in-law, Lawrence & Michelle Terrell of Stigler, Billy Terrell of Stigler; a daughter & son-in-law, Lori & Stephen Reeves of Decatur, Texas; 7 grandchildren & spouses, Billy & Julie Terrell Jr, Aron Terrell, Tyler & Lynsi Terrell, April Terrell, Emma Reeves, Abby Reeves, John Perrymore; 4 great grandchildren, Dylan, Shelby, Blake, Winslet; 3 sisters & spouses, Carol & Carson Harris, Rosetta & Charles Copeman, Linda & Bill Nunn; numerous nieces, nephews & spouses, Marilyn & Todd Bullock, Sammy & Brooke Copeman, Charles (Chubby) & CJ Copeman, Deborah & Matt Farmer, Roland Nunn; great nieces & nephew, Alex, Madison, Bella, Ashlee, Dane, Jacob, Jerrett, Lando, Brinlee, Cheyenne, Rosie, Owen; a host of friends. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Anna Orman; her former husband, George Tanner; a son, Curtis Perrymore;a niece, Gwendolyn LeFlore. Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Tommie Parker officiating. Pallbearers include Bill Nunn, Sammy Copeman, Charles Copeman, Lando Copeman, Jacob Terrell, Fred Benton. Honorary Pallbearers include Travis Terrell, Roland Nunn, Charles Copeman Sr., Carson Harris. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
