Anna Pearl Cole Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anna Pearl Cole, 78, of Stigler, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her home. She was born August 5, 1941 in Charleston, Arkansas to Garland Manuel and Stella Marie (Dodson) Pence. She grew up in Charleston and Ft. Smith. She married Sam Cole on January 19, 1959 in Whitefield. They made their home in Stigler and raised seven children. Ann loved gardening, reading, sewing and writing poetry. She loved her family, adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved her church family at the Freewill Baptist Church. Ann is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Kenny & Viola Cole of Stigler; her two daughters & son-in-law, Sammi Riley of W. Monroe, LA., Darla & Russell Bruce of Collierville, TN; 13 grandchildren, Andrea, Brandon, Chris, Rylee, Aaron, Courtney, Brittney, Ashlyn, Andrew, Blaine, Chad, Hayden, Stella Grace; 7 great grandchildren & 2 on-the-way; a brother & sister-in-law, Floyd Ray & Jean Pence of Barling, Arkansas; special sister-in-law, Glenda Shores of Stigler; numerous nieces, nephews, & other relatives. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel & Stella Pence; her husband, Sam Cole; 4 children, Nickey, Robbye, Bill, Stacey; a sister, Margie Allen; 2 brothers, Bob & Manuel Pence. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating. Eulogist: Reverend Glenn Kates. Speaker, Nancy Self. Pallbearers include Chance Hendrix, Colt Dixon, Blaine Cole, Andrew Cole, Courtney Humble, Aaron Humble. Honorary Pallbearers include, Kenny Cole, Russell Bruce, Chris Cole, Brandon Cole, Hayden Cole, Chad Cole. Burial will follow in Garland Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
