Thelma Trudy Lane

Obituary for Thelma Trudy Lane: Ms. Thelma Trudy Lane, 99 of McCurtain, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at Spiro Nursing Home. She was born March 1, 1916 at Rose Hill, Oklahoma to William and Mattie (Scott) Hume. She grew up at Rose Hill where she was educated, as well as McCurtain. Thelma married Floyd Lane March 12, 1936 in South Chant, Oklahoma and they made their home in McCurtain. She worked on the family farm and raised five kids. She loved to travel, loved cats and Word Search Puzzles. Most of all she loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved Geneology. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and knew her. She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Old Panther Church. Thelma is survived by one son, Raymond Lane and wife Mary of McCurtain; three daughters, Bessie Lang of Wewoka, Thelma Lee Allen of Seminole, Edith Pearl Fuller and husband Arvin of McCurtain; 16 grandchildren, Larry Lane, James Lane, Glenda McCullar, Rose Mary Burkett, Stanley Lane, Juddie Lovelace, Janis Sue Greogry, Russell Gibson Jr., David Allen, Paul Allen, Sandra Moore, Darla Paul, Debra Real, Trudy Davis, Floyd Madewell, Matthew Fuller; 34 great grandchildren, Michael, David, Cheril, Dillon, Travis,Tessa, Scott, Shaina, Derek, Candice, Tim Lee, Tim, Robbie, Anthony, Misty, Sara, Shawn, Tasha, Clinton, William, Steven, MaryLynn, Lindie, Dustin, Alexandria, Ruthe, Laney, Lezlie, Shance, Kailee, Payton, Attley, Halston, Boden; 22 great-great grandchildren, Andrew, Isaac, Maddie, Harley, Tyler, Ali, Will, Landyn, Kaylee, Christian, Kinleigh, Shelby, Donnie, Jacoby, ShayLynn, Gunner, Gerit, Hayden, Sadie, Corbin, Breonna, Jaxon, and four on the way; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mattie Hume; her husband Floyd Lane; one son, William Lane; five brothers; one sister; one grandchild, Patricia Spears; two great grandchildren, Cheyenna and Dustin Lane. Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Reverend LeRoy Orr officiating. Eulogist: Paul Orr. Pallbearers include, Matthew Fuller, Floyd Madewell, Mark Culwell, Stanley Lane, Derek Lane, Jamin Eaton. Honorary Pallbearers include Paul Allen, Steven Paul, Dustin Real, David Barnes, David Allen, Andy Ayliffe, Wayne Decker, Wesley Bryce, Nick Hatfield. Burial will follow immediately at Iron Bridge Cemetery at Keota under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
