Rosie L. Ayala

Rosalie (Rust) Ayala was born in Kinta, Oklahoma on September 5, 1946 to William Anderson & Martha Jane (Kuykendall) Rust. She went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ July 5, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Rose was the 12th of 13 children. Rose grew up in the Cowlington and Tucker Oklahoma area. Rose enjoyed telling stories of her youth growing up with such a large and loving family and working very hard on farms, helping with crops and household chores. Rose graduated from Spiro High School class of 1965. Rose married Teddy Ayala on May 19, 1969. They moved to Keota, Oklahoma in 1978 to be near her parents, and raised six children there. Rose was a tireless worker and worked a few jobs throughout the years but for the most part, while her children was young, her job was a homemaker, raising her family and caring for her husband and childrens' every need. After her children were older, Rose went to work to continue to help provide for her family, retiring from Medi-Homes in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 2001 where she was a supervisor of housekeeping. Rose always loved spending time with her grandkids and kept most of her young grandkids in her home during the week days refusing to let them go to daycare. Rose loved serving God in any way she could. She loved her friends and family very much, but she loved God above all. She always volunteered at church helping out in any way she could whether it was cleaning the church which she did for many years or teaching classes and spending time with the youth. She started teaching children’s church class at Keota Assembly in the 1980’s and continued in that role until she could no longer walk. She loved teaching children about Jesus Christ. It brought her more joy than anything in this world. Rose was a true servant of God. Rose is survived by her six children & their spouses, Lisa & Ed Stricklin of Hartshorne, OK., Rosalinda & Roy McClary of Eufaula, OK., Melissa & Pepo Pemberton of Stigler, OK., Theresa Hays of Keota, OK.. Alonzo & Jamie Ayala of Tamaha, OK., Quincy Ayala & Kim Brown of Rock Island, OK.; a special niece, Lacey Holt & husband Matt of McCurtain, OK.; 3 sisters, Francis Dameron, Ruby Chaney, & Martha Moore; 18 grandchildren & their spouses, Leslie & Adam Villarrial, Brooke McClary, Alysia & Corey Coyle, Caleb & Kacie Hays, Kristin & Ty Horstman, Chelsee McClary, Chassity & Beau Shepherd, Brianna Hays, Tristin & Ragan Ayala, Ashleigh Pemberton, Maloree & August Carroll, Trevor Ayala, Teddy Ayala, Joshua McClary, McKinley Ayala, Treyvin Ayala, Cadance Ayala, & Lincoln Ayala; 13 great grandchildren, Dillon, Reagan, Rhett, Brantley, Lance, Kamberlyn, Reid, Baby girl Hays, Leegan, Langston, Emberleigh, Ryder, & Aiden. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, William & Martha Rust, her husband, Teddy J Ayala; brothers, Troy Rust, Quincy Rust, Van Rust, Ernest Rust, & sisters, Dorothy Rust, Lorene Epley, Mary Cruger, & Linda Chaney. Funeral Service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 9, 2021 at Keota Victory Worship Center with Pastor Heath Cole & Reverend Brandon Mooningham officiating; Eulogist: Reverend Ty Horstman. Pallbearers include Caleb Hays, Teddy Ayala, Joshua McClary, Tristin Ayala, Trevor Ayala, Danny Rust. Honorary Pallbearers include Treyvin Ayala, Tracy Rust, Jim Rust, Tommy Rust, Billy Jack Rust, Adam Villarrial, Corey Coyle, Ty Horstman, Beau Shepherd. Burial will follow in Old Cache Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
