Krystal Elaine Cravens-Martin

Krystal Elaine Martin (Cravens) age 43 of Mannford, took her heavenly flight from this earth on the evening of Wednesday October 2, 2024 with her close family and friends at her bedside at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa Oklahoma. Krystal was born to Tommy and Joyce Cravens in Tulsa Oklahoma on July 10, 1981. Krystal was raised in Assemblies of God churches and completed Missionettes training as a young lady, crowned as an Honor Star. Krystal graduated from Tahlequah High School class of 2000. She went on to work in healthcare as a CMA at numerous facilities and capacities. Krystal has always held a passion for helping others and influencing and changing their lives for the better. Krystal has lived a life of service and love. She has provided in home care and assistance for seniors, and has worked in various long term care facilities, and worked with hospice patients and families. Wherever Krystal has worked she has strived to make a positive and lasting impact on her coworkers, patients, and their families. Krystal has also worked with and ministered to young girls through Girl Scouts of America and spent countless hours mentoring, fundraising, and character-building exercises with these girls. Krystal was a humanitarian to a fault. She has continuously opened her home and her heart to others in need. Krystal would put other people's needs and well-being ahead of her own. Krystal has always provided a safe place without judgement for anyone seeking refuge from whatever storm they were facing at the time. Whether they needed a friend to listen, a helping hand, a hot meal, a ride, or a place to stay Krystal was always there. Krystal has been a faithful follower and strived to live as an example of Christ. Most recently Krystal has been working as a special education para-professional at Sequoyah Middle School for Broken Arrow Public schools for the past 5 years. Krystal had identified another personal passion for children with special needs. Krystal’s mother and sister have devoted their career to special education. Krystal’s sister was her driving force and had been encouraging Krystal to pursue a career in special education. After careful consideration, Krystal had finally enrolled and had gone back to school to pursue a teaching degree in special education. Krystal loved everyone unconditionally and always saw the best in people even when others couldn’t. Krystal never met a stranger. Her boisterous personality, loud voice, and laughter would fill any room and knew no bounds. Her smile and fun spirit were contagious. Any friend of Krystal was not only a friend for life but became part of her tribe. No matter the distance between, Krystal cherished her friendships and would regularly travel great distances to catch up with an old friend. Krystal could always be called on and she was there in anyone’s time of need. Krystal never asked for anything in return. Sadly, Krystal was in a tragic car accident and has been taken from us all too soon. The loss of Krystal leaves a massive void. The world is a little darker today without her light shining in it. Even through her death Krystal continued her ministry by giving of herself one last time. Krystal was an organ donor and through her anatomical gifts of kidneys, lungs, liver, liver cells, corneas, bone, bone marrow, skin, and other tissue, she has improved and/or saved the lives of numerous total strangers. Her acts of service knew no bounds. She is now watching over her tribe from the heavens and though she will be forever missed, we are all better having known her. Krystal is survived by her father Tommy Cravens and wife Barbara of Keota; husband Thomas Martin of Mannford; daughters Kathlyn Miller and Dawn DeLancy; sister Kimberly Hall and husband Ronnie of Stigler; Aunts Joyce Cravens of Owasso, Carolyn Bingham of Okemah, and Kathryn Young of Huntley Illinois; father in law and mother in law David Martin and Bonita of Jenks; three brothers-in-law's Ed Martin and fiancé ELizabeth of Sand Springs, Adam Martin and wife Danielle of Jenks, and Jonathan Martin of Tulsa; Nieces Kandace Mitchell and husband Ty of Broken Arrow, Summer Martin of Jenks, and Josilyn Martin of Sand Springs; nephews Kaleb Hall of Stigler, David and Charlie Martin of Sand Springs, William Martin of Jenks, and Jacob and Steven Hinman; and a whole host of extended family, and friends. Krystal was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Foxx, grandparents; Tony and Reverend Walsa Mae Foxx, Larry and Betty Cravens, Cecil and Evelyn Jones; Uncles Larry Cravens, Danny Young, and Melvin Bingham. First Assembly of God in Stigler will be live streaming Krystals service for those unable to attend in person.
