Johnny Dean Pryor

Johnny Dean Pryor, 61, lifelong Quinton area resident was called away Saturday morning December 17, 2022 at his home in West Liberty. He was born October 6, 1961 at Quinton to John Joseph and Doris Earlene (McKinney) Pryor. He was educated at Quinton Schools and graduated with the class of '79. He began his career as a heavy equipment operator. He was married to Kim Newton on April 24, 1983 and made their home together. He worked for many years for several construction companies before founding C & L Dirtworks and Welding several years ago. Johnny was a hard working man that loved his family, especially his grandkids. He was an avid Livestock Show enthusiast and enjoyed raising cattle and horses. He enjoyed working, going to auctions, and fishing. He is survived by his wife Kim Pryor of the home; two sons, C.J. Pryor and wife Monica of Stigler, Larry Pryor of Quinton; 3 grandkids, Chaseton Cantrell of Stillwater, Libby "Wild Woman" Pryor of Stigler, Cooper "Hardhead" Pryor of Quinton; his mother, Doris Pryor of Quinton; 3 sisters, Kathy McKee and husband Bill of Quinton, Pam Roberts and husband Dennis of Cudjoe, Florida, Donna Olive and husband Floyd of Durant; one brother, Jimmy Pryor and wife Cindy of Quinton; Aunt Carol and Uncle Joe Krumsiek of Coweta; Uncle James Pryor and Aunt Jody, sister-in-law and husband Connie and Tim Love of Brooken; Mother-in-law and father-in-law Sue and Charles Reece of Whitefield; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, John Pryor; grandparents, Haskell and Hollie Pryor, Hubert and Christine McKinney; one nephew, Joseph Olive. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Shiloh Assembly of God Church at Enterprise with Pastor Rick McElyea officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Long, Timmy Stephens, John Holley, Thomas Gillham, Daniel Miller, and Eric DeHart. Honorary pallbearers include J.D. Pryor, J.R. Pryor, Johnny McKee, Dustin Roberts, Jordan Pryor, Taylor Olive, Thomas Olive, Tyler Olive, Tonya Casey, Jennifer Roberts, Kaci Murray, Andrew Newton and Frank Williams. Burial will follow at West Liberty Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
