Jeneva Ann Jim

Jeneva Ann Jim, 64, was born on December 31, 1956 in Stigler to John Sr. and Annabell (Stallaby) Barbee of Whitefield and passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 in Kansas City with her husband and both of their sons by her side. She attended and graduated from Stigler High School in 1976. She went on to college at Bacone where she completed her Associate Degree in 1979. She was currently enrolled in Southeastern University through Choctaw University and was a Junior working toward her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. She married the love of her life, Danny Jim on February 14, 1981. They had 2 sons, Randy & Jeffery and made their home in Whitefield. She worked many years working at Haskell County Hospital before going to work for Choctaw Nation. She spent the last 16 years as the Surveillance Manager for the Choctaw Nation Casino’s. She loved her surveillance crew dearly and thought of them as her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, going to church, being with her church family, and could always be found cheering from the bleachers at any and every sporting event that her boys or her grandchildren were playing. Jeneva is survived by her husband, Danny Jim of the home; 2 sons, Randy Jim of Stigler and Jeffery & Amy Jim of Muskogee; 3 grandchildren, Mason Jim, Amillya Jim & Ryker Jim all of Muskogee; her siblings, John Barbee Jr. of Enterprise, Carolyn Branam of Stigler, Sybil McGhee of Orlando, Fl., and Linda & Rick McCarroll of Stigler; numerous nieces & nephews; a host of others she considered her kids & grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Sr. & Annabell Barbee; her mother-in-law & father-in-law, Emmitt & Susan Jim; 2 brothers-in-law, Eldene Jim & Donald Jim; a sister-in-law, Carroll Lang; 2 nephews, Billy Jim & Anthony Jim; a niece, Lisa Barbee. Pallbearers will be Mervin Wallis (aka Merlin), Colby Johnson (aka Handsome), Earl Ray Jim, Mason Jim, Hermon Sleeper, Chris Sleeper, Rick McCarroll, and Ricky McCarroll. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Choctaw Nation Surveillance Crew, The Choctaw & Chickasaw Baptist Association, Ron Perry, her nephews. Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Whitefield Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Southerland officiating. Eulogist: Revered Gary Caldwell. Pallbearers include Mervin Wallis (aka Merlin), Colby Johnson (aka Handsome),Earl Ray Jim, Mason Jim, Hermon Sleeper, Chris Sleeper, Rick McCarroll & Ricky McCarroll. Honorary Pallbearers include Choctaw Nation Surveillance Crew, The Choctaw & Chickasaw Baptist Association, Ron Perry & her nephews. Burial will follow in Whitefield Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stiger. The family has requested that all in attendance wear face masks.
