Huston F. Peevyhouse

Huston Francis PeevyHouse, 96, Veteran, Tinker Air Base, Elliot-Warren VFW Post 4446, Stigler Water Plant Operator. Huston passed away due to natural causes on June 2, 2020 in residence at the ODVA Veterans Home in Claremore, OK. He was born April 13, 1924 to Frank and Lillie Peevyhouse in the community of Antioch and grew up in the Rocky Ridge Community, both near Stigler, OK. He retired from the city of Stigler as the Stigler Water Treatment Operator. Prior to that he served in the United States Army during WWll with tours of duty in Burma, Fiji Islands, Australia, Fort Riley, KS. and Fort El Reno, OK. Following the war, Huston lived in Oklahoma City where he worked as a Mechanic Supervisor at Tinker Air Base. Following his Tinker job, he moved his family back to Stigler where he assumed the post of Stigler Water Treatment Operator. Huston is survived by his wife, Virginia Peevyhouse of Ozark, AR.; her 3 daughters & sons-in-law, Terrie & Boyd McCullar, Debbie & Steve Barnes, Robin & Ruban Hernandez; 2 daughters & son-in-law by his 1St wife Lillian, Glenda & Vernon Hawkins, Mary Frances Watts; 2 step- daughters & sons-in-law by 2nd wife, Lillie, Sherry & David McDonald, MeShelle & Bobby Baker; 2 brothers & sisters-in-law, Bufford & JeanE Peevyhouse, James & Wanda Peevyhouse; 3 sisters, Anna Lou Pugh, Lennie Stubblefield, Wanda Faye Hall; 16 grandchildren & spouses, Teresa Gale & Eddie Roper, Brian & Tangie Ballard, Kelsey & Kevin Clarke, Shane & Jessica Bates, Christina & Joe Huffman, Nicole Mathews, Ashley & Matthew Martella, Marissa & Derik McKenzie, Jennifer McCullar, Heath & Kaylee Stanfield, Dane & Nicole Stanfield, Samantha Hawkins, Crystal & Danny Hutchinson, Beau & Barbara Hodges, Patrick Hodges, Mathew Hernandez; 16 great grandchildren, Galan Ballard, Casey Ballard, Katelynn Davis, Jonah, Caelin, Kyran, Gracen, Selah, Jolen, Josiah Huffman, Cooper Bates, Katy Bates, Kacelynn Merreighn, Kaevri Mathews, Karson Mathews, Baby Boy Martella; 10 great-great grandchildren, Beau, Axel, Adin, Grace, Azzie, Corbin, Scarlet, Blake, LoureLai, Camryn; a multitude of nieces, nephews & others that we've missed as we find our short-term memory to be lacking. Huston is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Lillie (Reid) Peevyhouse, 1st wife, Lillian (Anderson) Peevyhouse; 2nd wife, Lillie (Medlock) Peevyhouse; 3 brothers & sisters-in-law, Melvin & Dovie Peevyhouse, Robert & Beatrice Peevyhouse, Willie & Lucille Peevyhouse; 2 sisters & brothers-n-law, Julia & Sam Carlile, Myrtle & Otis Bowen; 3 brothers-in-law, John Pugh, Jimmy Stubblefield, Author Pearson. Honorary Pallbearers include Lonnie Peevyhouse, Bobby Baker, Chuck McCarmish, Tom Highfill, David, McDonald and the Honor Guard of Elliot-Warren VFW Post 4446, Stigler, Oklahoma, USA. Graveside Service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 5, 2020 at Antioch Cemetery in Stigler under the direction of King & Shearwod Funeral Home of Stigler.
