Clifford Earl Guernsey

Clifford Earl Guernsey, 79, of Tuttle, Oklahoma passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born February 21, 1939 in Fresno, CA. to Kimball and Marie (Krase) Guernsey . Clifford grew up in California. He served his country in the U.S. Army for four years as a Medical Specialist. He returned home to California and married Betty Arthur on May 2, 1972. He began a career as a Welder and became owner of C & C Boat & Tank Company which he operated many years. He moved to Onapa, Ok. in 1990. Clifford loved fishing, working in his shop, woodworking, gardening, working puzzles. He married Audine Abney in 2003 and moved to Tuttle. Clifford is survived by his son, Herschel Weeks of Oregon; a sister, Norma Richards of Argyle, TX.; 7 grandchildren, William Spafford Jr., Tammy Spafford, Kelly Girty, Stephanie Booth, Lee Weeks, Triona Weeks, Morgan Weeks; 13 great grandchildren, Mark, Ashley & Austin Booth, Mandy Smith, Alisha Holder, Josiah Spafford, Jacob Girty, William J. Spafford III, Rachel Ledbetter, Deborah Jones, Sequoyah Girty, Holly Chavez, Maddie Weeks ; 9 great-great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Jentry Smith, Wylie Holder, Mayleigh Girty, Ava & Austin Ledbetter, Jozalyn & Rowdy Chavez, Brooklyn & Bostyn Girty, Macayla Boas, Brayden Booth; nieces, Sherri & Gregory Peck, Kristi & Karl Weber, Cindy & Rodney Sherman; Great niece, Sydney Peck; 3 great nephews, Garrett Peck, Brendan & Ethan Weber; extended family, Dale & Terry Strangfeld, Jessica Joslin, Chase & Russell Strangfeld, Trent, Eric & Shelby Strangfeld, Nick & Kaidence Strangfeld, Josie Joslin. Preceded in death by his parents, Kimball & Marie Guernsey; his two wives, Betty Guernsey & Audine Guernsey; 2 children, Roy Weeks, Charlotte Spafford; a grandchild, Terry Girty. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 3, 2018 in the R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with Mr. Cliff Downing officiating. Pallbearers include James Spafford, Jacob Girty, Jason Smith, Jimmy Spafford, Jeff Girty, Sequoyah Girty. Honorary Pallbearers include Morgan Weeks, Lee Weeks, Herschel Weeks, William Spafford Sr., Dale Strangfeld, Gregory Peck, Karl Weber, & Rodney Sherman. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery at Porum under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
