Betty "Grani" Walker

A lotus flower only blooms in the mud. This is a note we had found tucked off under the dust of one of Grani’s many shelves of trinkets and it embodies the beauty of who Grani was. Life was not always easy, nor fair to her. There was much mud. And yet she still bloomed. Betty Dale Moore was born April 18th, 1940 in Whitefield Oklahoma. She created a legacy of 6 children, 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. All of which she loved dearly. She was strong and spunky and absolutely fabulous. She became a registered nurse in 1975. She moved to California in 1983 where she met William Walker, married, and helped run a lucrative steel business for many years. After a series of unfortunate events Grani moved back to Oklahoma and met Bullwhip Branham who provided her with peace, comfort, and a fabulous life. She loved dancing in front of the tv while we watched cartoons, being creative and making all us kids walking sticks and laughing. She loved riding sxs, watching her westerns, and being surround by family and friends. Her legacy will continue to live on in all the memories and all the outrageous stories of her colorful life. Anyone that met her loved her as she was Grani to everyone… she will forever be loved and missed. And in the words of Grani, We love you to pieces.
